Express splits games in tournament

The WESTCO Express junior legion baseball team split a pair of games

on Saturday and Sunday in the Express Tournament.

WESTCO earned an 11-3 win over Fort Morgan, Colo., on Saturday before

falling to Wheatland by a score of 5-2 on Sunday.

In the win, Jordan Ramirez went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs. Joe

Moran and Joseph Sanchez both scored two runs. The Express scored 10

runs in the first inning.

Ramirez earned the win on the mound. He allowed just one earned run

on three hits. Connor Wilburn struck out three for the Express.

In Sunday's game, Andres Morales took the loss on the mound. He

struck out three and allowed five hits in seven innings of work. The

Express out-hit Wheatland, 8-5. Moran and Sanchez both went 2-for-4.
